He is an honour graduate. HE held various training posts in England, Scotland and Wales. he passed PLAB of London and MCCEE of Canada. He passed United States Medical Licensing Exams, ECFMG, USA and Federation License Exam Pennsylvania, USA.
After completing Obstetrics and Gynaecology Training in Great Britain He obtained Membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, London and practised as a consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Whipps Cross Hospital, London. This concluded 14 years experience in Obstetrics & Gynaecology in Great Britain.
In 1995 He was invited to bring his experience to Victoria, Australia. The Royal Australian College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists admitted him as a Fellow to the College. Now he practices as Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist offering his services in the public and private sector. The public appointment is at Box Hill Hospital, a Monash University Teaching Hospital.
Mr Serag Youssif has extensive experience in gynaecologic surgery for urinary incontinence and various types of Slings. Currently he uses TVT, Spark, Monarc and Safyre Slings depending on patient needs. Pelvic Floor construction and repair of vaginal and uterine prolapse are major interest.
Mr Serag Youssif participates in running the urodynamic and video-cysto-urethrogram clinic to investigate incontinence and prolapse at Box Hill Hospital. These studies should be made available for every patient who requires incontinence or prolapse surgery.
